Innsbruck’s Rembrandt added to the database

22 June 2018

As a result of the collaboration between the RKD-Netherlands Institute of Art History and the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum, art historical information and technical documentation on Innsbruck’s Rembrandt has been published online in the Rembrandt Database.

The Rembrandt Database team and the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck worked together on the art historical information on Innsbruck’s Bust of an old man with a fur cap, and on preparing the research documentation on this tronie for the database. The Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum has enriched the database with a recent X-radiograph, an infrared photograph, a high-resolution normal light image of their painting and two restoration reports, which are now accessible via the database.

Many thanks to Christina Zenz (scientific researcher) from the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck, who provided us with the research data.
