Documentation and art-historical data on Rembrandt paintings from French public collections online

July 2014

In collaboration with the C2RMF, le Centre de Recherche et de Restauration des Musées de France, we are able to present technical documentation of 30 paintings of multiple French institutions on the Rembrandt Database.

Documentation and art-historical information from the Musée Granet in Aix-en-Provence, Musée Départemental des Vosges in Épinal, Église Saint-Vincent in Le Mas-d’Agenais, Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, Musée du Louvre in Paris, Musée Cognaq-Jay in Paris, Musée Jacquemart-André also in Paris, Musée des Beaux-Arts in Rennes and the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Tours in Tours is now accessible through the database. A total of 1070 documents have been made available for researchers worldwide.

The C2RMF has been very generous in sharing their data. We hope to add more paintings to our database in the next project phase and to keep it up-to-date with new research material.
